Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Greeting customers, seating them (in some places), presenting menus, and explaining daily specials or promotions.
Taking accurate food and beverage orders (including modifications, dietary needs, or allergies) and entering them into a point-of-sale (POS) system or relaying them to the kitchen/bar.
Serving food and drinks promptly, ensuring correct presentation, temperature, and placement.
Checking on customers throughout the meal, refilling drinks, addressing requests or complaints, and ensuring satisfaction.
Clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, and restocking service stations.
