Job responsibilities includes: Construct, repair, and maintain building structures using materials such as bricks, concrete blocks, natural stone, and mortar, also work on walls, chimneys, patios, foundations, and sometimes decorative stonework. Measure, mark, and cut bricks/blocks/stone as required by using proper alignment, spacing, and bonding patterns.
Ensure structural stability and durability, build and repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, and foundations and maintain tools and equipment (trowels, levels, saws, mixers, scaffolding).
Qualifications:
No degree is required, strong understanding of masonry techniques and materials, ability to work accurately with levels, plumb lines, and measurements and ability to work from drawings and follow building codes.
