Primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and operational support in kitchen, dishwashing, and service areas of restaurants, hotels, bars, lounges, or similar establishments. Also ensures that dishes, equipment, and workspaces remain clean and stocked so that chefs, waitstaff, and other team members can focus on food preparation and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
Scraping, sorting, washing, and sanitizing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and service ware (manually or with dishwashing machines).
Restocking clean dishes, utensils, and supplies at service stations and in the kitchen.
Assisting with inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and related items; reporting shortages.
Operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment and other cleaning tools.
Requirements / Qualifications:
No formal degree is needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat for long periods. usually needed.
Comfort working in hot, humid, or cold environments (kitchens, freezers, walk-in refrigerators).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness/sanitation standards.
Good teamwork and communication skills (English is usually required; other languages are a plus).
Greeting guests, seating them, serving water, or assisting with basic service needs.
