Heavy Equipment Operator

Main duties:

Operate assigned heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Excavate, grade, level, compact, load, transport, and place materials such as soil, sand, gravel, rocks, debris, or waste.
Perform pre-start and post-operation inspections, including checking oil, fuel, coolant, tires, hydraulics, lights, brakes, and safety equipment.
Carry out basic maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, refilling fluids, and reporting mechanical defects.
Follow instructions from the site supervisor, foreman, engineer, or dispatcher.
Coordinate with ground workers using radios, hand signals, or other communication methods.
Load and unload machinery from trailers when required.
