Install and maintain industrial electrical systems (power distribution, control panels, motors, wiring, conduit, cable trays).
Work on high/medium voltage systems (depending on site requirements and qualifications).
Troubleshoot electrical faults using test instruments (multimeter, insulation tester/megger, clamp meter, circuit tracer, scopes).
Inspect equipment and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Perform preventive maintenance on:Motor control centers (MCCs)
Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Switchgear/power panels
Transformers and breakers
Required Skills & Qualifications
Trade certification (e.g., electrician apprenticeship completion or equivalent).
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and safe work practices.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical awareness is a plus).
Familiarity with:Motor controls (star/delta, DOL starters, starters, MCC)
PLC basics (helpful, sometimes required)
VFDs/soft starters
Grounding and bonding
Physical ability to work in plants (ladders, confined spaces, lifting tools/materials).
