Key Responsibilities and Duties
Staff management: Hire, train, schedule, supervise, mentor, evaluate, and develop laboratory technicians, scientists, research associates, and support staff. Handle performance issues, foster collaboration, and ensure adequate staffing.
Daily operations: Oversee workflows, experiment design/execution (where applicable), sample processing, testing, and analysis. Coordinate lab space and equipment scheduling for efficiency, develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols (chemical hygiene, biosafety, PPE, waste disposal, emergency procedures).
