Job Summary
Package products according to work orders, SOPs, and quality requirements.
Operate and monitor packaging machinery (e.g., fillers, sealers, labelers, cartoners, case packers).
Assemble packaging components (boxes, cartons, trays, bags, lids, inserts) and ensure correct materials are used.
Apply labels and lot/traceability information; verify barcodes/IDs.
Perform quality checks (counts, seals, damage checks, correct product in correct packaging).
Detect and report defects, product spills, or equipment malfunctions.
Maintain packaging area cleanliness (5S) and follow GMP/food-safety rules if applicable.
Required Skills / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (often required).
Ability to read work instructions, labels, and basic numbers.
Comfortable working on your feet and meeting production pace requirements.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow troubleshooting steps.
Strong attention to detail and basic math (counts, measurements, quantities).
