Plumber

Role summary

Installs, inspects, troubleshoots and repairs piping, fixtures, appliances and related systems that carry water, gas, waste and stormwater.
Ensures systems meet local plumbing and building codes, safety standards and customer requirements.
Works on new construction, remodels, and service/repair calls.

Cut, thread, join and bend pipe using hand and power tools and soldering/brazing equipment.
Size piping systems and determine materials required; prepare cost estimates and material lists.
Ensure installations comply with building codes and obtain necessary permits/inspections.

Required skills  includes;  Blueprint and schematic reading.
Troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
Basic math for measurements and material takeoffs.
Good hand–eye coordination, manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude.
Customer service, communication, and teamwork.
Physical stamina; comfortable working in confined spaces, at height, and with moderate-to-heavy lifting.
