Core responsibilities:
Design, build, and run monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Triage and resolve incidents (on-call rotations); lead post-incident reviews and remediation.
Automate repetitive operational tasks and reduce manual toil.
Collaborate with development teams to improve reliability, performance, and observability.
Manage infrastructure as code and configuration management.
Capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Required technical skills & Education
High school Diploma or equivalent, Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
Configuration/automation: Ansible, Salt, Chef, or similar.
Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, ELK/EFK stack, OpenTelemetry.
Logging and tracing fundamentals (correlation IDs, distributed traces).
Networking basics (TCP/IP, load balancers, DNS, routing).
Incident management & postmortem culture.
