Massage Therapist

Core responsibilities / daily duties

Perform a variety of massage techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, sports, myofascial release, trigger point, prenatal as applicable) based on client assessment and goals.
Conduct intake and health-history interviews; assess client condition, contraindications, and treatment needs.
Develop and adapt treatment plans; explain procedures and obtain client consent.
Deliver sessions of appropriate length (e.g., 30/45/60/90 minutes), managing time and transitions.
Maintain accurate client records: intake forms, progress notes, session plans, and any referrals.
Follow strict hygiene and sanitation protocols: launder linens, sanitize equipment, and maintain clean treatment rooms.
Coordinate with other practitioners (reception/front desk, physical therapists, chiropractors, physicians) when appropriate.
