Painter

Core responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces: clean, scrape, sand, patch holes/cracks, remove old paint, apply primers and sealers.
Mix and match paint colors; thin and apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Protect non-painted areas with masking, tarps, and drop cloths; set up ladders, scaffolding, and containment for safe access.
Read and follow specifications, color charts, and work orders; measure surfaces and estimate paint and material needs.
Apply specialty finishes (glazes, faux finishes, anti-corrosion coatings) as required.
Clean and maintain tools and equipment; dispose of materials safely in accordance with regulations.
Inspect finished work for quality and touch up as needed; communicate schedule/status to supervisors or clients.
