Typical Responsibilities
Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods according to recipes or standardized formulas
Measure and mix ingredients using scales, mixers, and other equipment
Operate ovens, proofers, mixers, and dough dividers/rounders
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality
Decorate and finish products (icing, glazing, dusting, shaping)
Package baked goods for display or sale
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas (sanitation standards)
