Core Responsibilities:
Preventive maintenance — inspecting, servicing, and lubricating machinery/equipment on a set schedule to prevent breakdowns
Troubleshooting and repairs — diagnosing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC issues and fixing them
Emergency response — handling unplanned equipment failures quickly to minimize downtime
Installations — setting up new equipment, fixtures, or systems
Record-keeping — logging repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules (often in a CMMS — computerized maintenance management system)
