Key Responsibilities:
Continuously monitoring networks, systems, and security tools (especially SIEM platforms) for alerts, anomalies, and potential breaches.
Investigating security incidents, analyzing logs, correlating events, and determining whether alerts are real threats or false positives.
Responding to incidents in real time (containment, eradication, recovery) and escalating serious issues.
Conducting vulnerability scans and assessments, prioritizing findings, and coordinating remediation/patching.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption, antivirus/EDR, and access controls.
