Selecting appropriate welding technique (MIG, TIG, Stick/SMAW, Flux-Cored, etc.) based on material and job
Setting up and operating welding equipment, torches, and machinery
Measuring, cutting, and fitting metal pieces before welding
Inspecting welds for defects (cracks, porosity, misalignment) using visual checks or testing tools
Grinding, filing, or smoothing welded surfaces
Maintaining and performing basic repairs on welding equipment.
