Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand objectives, requirements, budget, timeline, and preferences.
Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
Develop conceptual designs and present proposals (sketches, 3D models, renderings).
Create detailed scaled drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp—or by hand.
Prepare structure specifications, material selections, and cost/time estimates.
Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, safety standards, accessibility requirements, and sustainability goals.
