Production Operator

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate machinery/equipment: Follow setup sheets, work orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or batch records. Start, stop, and adjust machines within authorized limits.
Monitor production processes: Watch gauges, controls, HMIs, or parameters (speed, temperature, pressure, etc.) to keep processes running smoothly and efficiently. Make minor adjustments and clear simple stoppages.
Perform quality checks: Conduct in-process and final inspections (visual, dimensional measurements with calipers/micrometers, weight/fill checks, etc.). Identify and report defects or out-of-spec product.
Handle materials: Load/unload raw materials or components, feed machines, package/label finished goods, and assist with material handling (sometimes using forklifts or pallet jacks).
