Core responsibilities
Architect and design control system solutions (PLC, DCS, embedded controllers) to meet process/product requirements.
Develop and validate control algorithms (PID, feedforward, state-space, model predictive control) in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C/C++.
Implement control logic and HMI/SCADA screens (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Ignition, Wonderware, etc.).
Commission systems onsite: integrate sensors, actuators, drives, and networks; perform loop tuning and acceptance tests.
Perform system simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Troubleshoot and debug control hardware/software, perform root-cause analysis.
Required qualifications/ Preferred skills
Degree: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent. M.S. preferred for advanced roles, MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, or equivalent modeling & test tools.
Embedded/real-time programming experience (C/C++, RTOS), Python for automation and testing.
Experience with DCS platforms (Emerson, Honeywell) for process industries.
Certifications: ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST), ISA/IEC functional safety (e.g., TÜV/IEC 61508), Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Professional Engineer (PE) where applicable.
