Driver

Core responsibilities:

Load, secure and unload materials/equipment (manually or with assistance) according to load‑securement and site rules.
Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections; report defects and do basic maintenance (fluid checks, tire pressure, lights).
Keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork (bills of lading, manifests, DOT logbooks or electronic logs).
Coordinate with site superintendents/foremen to confirm delivery times, staging areas and off‑loading procedures.
Follow traffic laws, company policies, DOT regulations and site safety procedures (PPE, traffic control).

Skills and attributes:  Safe defensive driving and hazard awareness.
Ability to read maps/plans and use GPS.
Attention to detail (paperwork, inspections).
Reliability, punctuality and good teamwork.
Physically fit for loading/unloading and climbing on/off equipment.
