Provides essential frontline support to nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals also focus on patients’ comfort, personal care, basic clinical observations, and day-to-day wellbeing under supervision.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming).
Helping patients with mobility (moving, turning, transferring to chairs/wheelchairs, using lifting equipment).
Serving meals and assisting with feeding/hydration.
Monitoring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight).
Making beds, keeping patient areas clean and tidy, and sterilising equipment.
Collecting samples, restocking supplies, and basic administrative or record-keeping tasks.
Qualifications:
No strict formal qualifications required, compassion, kindness, patience, and empathy, good communication and listening skills, ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions/procedures and willingness to perform intimate personal care tasks while maintaining patient dignity.
