Routinely inspecting electrical systems (wiring, fixtures, appliances, circuit breakers, control panels, motors, switchgear, and transformers).
Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, multimeters, megohmmeters, and other test instruments.
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and replacements of faulty components (wiring, motors, lighting, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, etc.).
Installing new or upgraded electrical systems, conduits, wiring, and equipment while following blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, OSHA, NFPA 70E (arc flash), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other safety standards.
Responding to emergency breakdowns and restoring power or operations quickly.
