Key responsibilities
Assess patients’ physical condition: history, functional assessment, range of motion, strength, posture, gait and special tests.
Diagnose movement dysfunction and set clinical goals and treatment plans.
Deliver interventions: therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, soft-tissue techniques, joint mobilization, balance/gait training, functional/task training, hydrotherapy, and modalities (e.g., TENS, ultrasound) as appropriate.
Prescribe home-exercise programs and educate patients/families about condition management and injury prevention.
Monitor progress, modify treatment, and discharge patients when goals achieved.
Document assessments, treatment notes and outcomes clearly and on time.
Communicate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and other team members.
Qualification/requirements
High school Diploma or equivalent, Clinical assessment and differential diagnosis
Therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
Manual therapy and hands-on techniques
Clinical reasoning and outcome measurement
Patient education and motivational skills
Communication and teamwork
