Key responsibilities:
Supervise on-site workforce and subcontractors; allocate tasks and monitor productivity.
Enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies; conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections.
Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards and building codes.
Monitor progress against schedule; coordinate daily/weekly site programmes and labour planning.
Manage site logistics: deliveries, materials storage, plant/equipment and site cleanliness.
Maintain accurate site records: daily logs, attendance, timesheets, RFIs, non-conformance reports and progress photos.
Coordinate testing, inspections and remedial works; close out snagging items.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and local authorities; act on queries and change requests.
Required skills:
Strong leadership, people management and conflict-resolution skills.
Good verbal and written communication; able to produce clear daily reports.
Practical technical knowledge: reads drawings, interprets specifications and performs basic layout checks.
Time management and prioritisation under pressure.
Basic commercial awareness: understands labour and material cost impacts.
