Core responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat issues with teeth, gums, and the mouth
Perform cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns
Take and interpret X-rays and other diagnostic images
Prescribe medications (antibiotics, pain relief)
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Perform cosmetic procedures (whitening, veneers, bonding)
Refer patients to specialists.
