Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and calibrating machines according to blueprints, job specifications, or procedures (aligning tools/fixtures, adjusting speed, pressure, temperature, feed rates).
Loading raw materials or parts into machines (manually or via automated feeders).
Monitoring machines during operation for proper function—watching for unusual noises, vibrations, temperature changes, or cycle issues.
Inspecting finished products with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications; rejecting or adjusting for defects.
Performing minor adjustments, troubleshooting, and basic repairs; escalating major issues to maintenance technicians.
Conducting routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
Keeping production logs, quality records, downtime reports, and inventory notes.
