Key Responsibilities and Duties
Operating and monitoring packaging machinery — filling, sealing, labeling, cartoning, case packing, shrink wrapping, palletizing, or related equipment. This includes starting/shutting down machines, regulating speed/flow/temperature, and loading materials (bags, boxes, bottles, pouches, labels, glue, etc.).
Quality inspection — Sorting, weighing, grading, and inspecting products and packages for defects (damaged seals, incorrect labels, wrong counts/weights, poor appearance). Removing rejects and ensuring conformity to standards.
Setup, changeovers, and basic maintenance — Preparing lines for different products/formats, clearing jams, performing minor adjustments/troubleshooting, routine cleaning/lubrication, and escalating major issues to maintenance or supervisors.
