Key Responsibilities and Duties
Receiving: Unloading trucks/trailers, verifying quantities against purchase orders or packing slips, inspecting for damage or defects, scanning items into warehouse management systems (WMS), and staging goods.
Put-away and stocking: Moving inventory to designated storage locations (bins, racks, shelves) using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts; organizing stock and maintaining order.
Order fulfillment (picking and packing): Retrieving items accurately from locations using pick lists, RF scanners, or voice systems; packing orders securely according to product requirements and shipping standards; labeling packages.
