Core responsibilities:
Preparing the treatment room and sterilizing instruments before and after procedures
Assisting the dentist chairside during exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other procedures — passing instruments, suctioning, holding retractors
Taking and processing dental X-rays
Taking impressions for crowns, bridges, or mouthguards
Recording patient medical/dental histories and updating charts
Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling some.
