Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks, move materials, and clear/grade land
Read blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans to work to precise measurements
Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and basic maintenance (fluid levels, tracks, hydraulics)
Coordinate with ground crew, signal persons, and other equipment operators
Follow safety protocols — utility locates (call-before-you-dig), trench safety, equipment lockout procedures
Maintain accurate logs of hours, materials moved, and maintenance performed
Work around underground utilities (gas, water, electric) with care.
