Inspection & Testing — Examine raw materials, in-process items, and finished products using visual checks, measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and testing equipment
Standards Compliance — Verify products meet company specifications, industry standards (ISO, ANSI, etc.), and regulatory requirements
Documentation — Record inspection results, defect rates, and test data; maintain quality logs and reports
Defect Identification — Flag non-conforming products, identify root causes, and tag/segregate defective items
Sampling — Perform statistical sampling on production batches rather than 100% inspection in high-volume settings.
