Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing: Examine raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products using visual checks, measuring tools, or testing equipment
Documentation: Record inspection results, defects, and measurements in logs, checklists, or QC software
Standards Compliance: Verify products meet company specifications, industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.), and safety regulations
Defect Identification: Identify, tag, and report non-conforming products; determine root causes when possible
Equipment Calibration: Maintain and calibrate measuring/testing instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Sampling: Perform statistical sampling and batch testing rather than 100% inspection in high-volume settings.
