Painter

Protecting floors, furniture, trim, fixtures, and landscaping with drop cloths, tarps, and masking tape.
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, wire-brushing, filling holes/cracks with putty or plaster, and removing old paint or wallpaper.
Calculating surface area and estimating the amount of paint and materials needed.
Mixing and matching paints/colors (including custom blends) and applying primers or sealers.
Applying finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers (sometimes specialized equipment like airless or HVLP sprayers).
Erecting scaffolding, setting up ladders, or working at heights.
