Key Responsibilities:
Design well programs, including casing schemes, trajectory (directional/horizontal), bottom-hole assemblies (BHA), drilling fluids/mud programs, and barrier philosophy.
Select equipment (wellheads, bits, motors/RSS, etc.) and prepare detailed drilling programs based on geological data, production targets, and risk assessments.
Monitor daily operations, track progress, costs (AFE vs. actual), and non-productive time (NPT); recommend real-time adjustments.
Ensure well control, wellbore stability, hole cleaning, and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., well-control certifications like IWCF/IADC).
Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams; manage contractor performance and contracts.
