Core Duties and Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and service manuals.
Performing preventive/routine maintenance: cleaning, lubricating, inspecting drives/motors/belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and conducting operational checks to minimize downtime.
Diagnosing problems using visual inspection, diagnostic tools/tests, precision measuring instruments, and analysis of error messages or operator reports (covering mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and often basic electrical issues).
Disassembling machinery to access and remove defective, worn, or damaged parts; repairing or replacing components (gears, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulic units, etc.); then reassembling and testing.
