Crane Operator

Operate assigned crane(s) (mobile, tower, overhead, rough-terrain, or crawler) to lift/position personnel, materials and equipment.
Read and follow load charts, lift plans, rigging diagrams and job site signals.
Inspect crane before and after shift: check controls, wire ropes, hooks, brakes, outriggers, hydraulic systems, safety devices; report defects.
Perform or coordinate rigging: select slings, shackles, spreader bars; ensure proper hitch and load-securement.
Communicate with riggers, signalers/spotters and supervisors using standard hand signals and radios.
Execute lifts per engineered lift plans; tag out unsafe conditions and stop lifts when necessary.
Maintain logbooks, inspection records, and lift documentation.
