Prepare surfaces before painting: cleaning, sanding, scraping off old paint, filling holes/cracks, applying primer
Select appropriate paints, finishes, and tools based on the surface and job requirements
Mix paints to match specified colors and consistency
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Cover and protect surfaces/furniture not to be painted (masking, tarps)
Erect scaffolding or use ladders/lifts safely for elevated work
Estimate the amount of material and time needed for a job.
