Greet customers, seat them , present menus, and explain daily specials, ingredients, allergens, or promotions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders (including modifications and dietary needs) and enter them into a point-of-sale (POS) system or write them down for the kitchen/bar.
Serve food and drinks promptly, check back on tables for satisfaction, handle refills, and address issues (e.g., incorrect orders or complaints).
Clear and reset tables, maintain cleanliness of the dining area, and perform side work (restocking condiments, silverware, etc.).
Process payments (cash, card, splits), handle tips/gratuities, and sometimes prepare simple items like coffee or garnishes.
