Inspect the crane before and after each shift (cables, hooks, brakes, hydraulics, controls)
Read load charts and calculate weight limits to avoid overloading
Operate controls to lift, swing, and lower loads with precision
Communicate with signal persons/riggers using hand signals or radio
Position outriggers and set up the crane safely on-site
Follow site safety protocols and keep clear of power lines and obstacles
Maintain logs of maintenance, inspections, and operating hours.
