Prepare surfaces before painting: cleaning, sanding, scraping old paint, filling holes/cracks with putty or filler, and applying primer
Protect areas not being painted (masking, covering floors/furniture with drop cloths)
Mix paints and match colors to specifications
Select appropriate tools — brushes, rollers, or sprayers — based on the surface and finish required
Apply paint, stain, or protective coatings evenly and to the required number of coats
Inspect finished work for quality, touch up defects, and clean up equipment/work area.
