Core Responsibilities:
Design & Planning
Meet with clients to understand their needs, budget, and vision for a building or space
Develop design concepts, sketches, and 3D models
Create detailed technical drawings and blueprints using CAD/BIM software (like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp)
Balance aesthetics with functionality, safety, and sustainability
Technical & Regulatory Work
Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations
Calculate structural loads and specify materials (often coordinating with structural engineers)
Prepare construction documents and specifications
Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
