Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to plan layouts and determine wiring/equipment locations.
Installing and maintaining wiring, conduits, control systems, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, and panels.
Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components; pulling wires through walls, floors, and conduits.
Inspecting electrical components for hazards, defects, or needed adjustments.
Diagnosing problems with testing devices (e.g., multimeters, voltmeters, ammeters, thermal scanners, cable testers) and troubleshooting issues like short circuits, overloaded circuits, or faulty wiring.
