Psychiatrist

Conduct psychiatric evaluations: take medical/psychiatric histories, assess mental status, and perform risk assessments (suicide, violence, self-harm).
Diagnose mental health disorders using DSM/ICD criteria and clinical judgment.
Develop and manage treatment plans combining medication management, psychotherapy, and referrals to counseling/rehab/other specialties.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including managing side effects and drug interactions.
Provide psychotherapies when trained/able (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy) or collaborate with therapists.
Coordinate care with primary care, specialty physicians, psychologists, social workers, and community services.
Provide emergency/acute psychiatric care and crisis intervention; may perform inpatient rounds and manage admissions/discharges.
