Painter

Prepare surfaces before painting: cleaning, sanding, scraping old paint, filling holes/cracks with putty or spackle, taping/masking areas not to be painted
Select or mix paints, stains, and finishes to match specifications or color samples
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray guns
Apply primers and sealers to prepare surfaces and help paint adhere properly
Cover and protect fixtures, floors, and surrounding areas with tarps/drop cloths
Set up and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, or lifts for high or hard-to-reach areas
Estimate the amount of paint/materials needed for a job.
