Heavy Equipment Operator

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials.

Perform clearing, grubbing, excavating, compacting, rough grading, and fine grading operations.

Perform routine maintenance, daily pre-start checks, fluid levels, greasing, and cleaning .

Work closely with site engineers, surveyors, foremen, and ground crew.

Skills Required:

Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, ability to operate levers, pedals and joysticks simultaneously, Concentration for long hours, communication, teamwork, ability to work under pressure and good vision, hearing, and physical stamina – work is outdoors in heat, dust, rain.
