Primary Responsibilities:
Operating mobile, tower, overhead, or other cranes by using levers, pedals, dials, or controls to lift, swing, raise/lower, and place loads precisely.
Conducting pre- and post-operation inspections of the crane, cables, hooks, hydraulic systems, outriggers, and safety devices; performing basic maintenance or reporting issues.
Reviewing load charts, calculating or verifying load weights/radii/angles, and ensuring lifts stay within capacity limits.
Setting up and positioning the crane (including outriggers and blocking), coordinating with riggers and signal persons via hand signals, radios, or other communication.
Following detailed lift plans, monitoring weather/ground conditions, and adhering to strict safety protocols.
