Responsibilities:
Diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders involving patients of all ages
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
Conduct psychotherapy (talk therapy) sessions (though some focus primarily on medication management)
Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
