Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications; following state/local building codes.
Determining materials and equipment needed; preparing cost estimates for clients.
Measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes 
Installing pipes, fixtures (sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers), and appliances (water heaters, dishwashers).
Installing and repairing water supply, drain/waste/vent (DWV), and gas lines.
Inspecting and testing systems for leaks, pressure, and proper function (using gauges, cameras, etc.).
Troubleshooting and repairing problems such as leaks, clogs, low pressure, or malfunctioning fixtures.
