Main Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding instructions
Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components
Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-fuel welders
Inspect welds for strength, quality, and defects
Grind, polish, and finish welded surfaces
Maintain welding tools and equipment
Follow workplace safety procedures and protective-equipment requirements
Record work completed and report equipment or quality problems
