Core responsibilities
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using industrial dishwashing machines
Sort and stack clean dishes, and store them in the proper location
Pre-rinse and scrape food waste from dishes before washing
Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, monitoring water temperature and detergent levels
Keep the dishwashing station, sinks, and surrounding areas clean and organized
Empty trash and take out recycling as needed
Sweep and mop kitchen floors, especially in the dishwashing area.
