Typical responsibilities
Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers
Move pallets, crates, and materials between storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks
Stack and organize inventory in racking systems, sometimes at significant heights
Read work orders, pick lists, or shipping labels to route materials correctly
Perform pre-shift inspections of the forklift (brakes, tires, fluid levels, forks, warning lights/horn)
Report equipment malfunctions or damage
Keep accurate records of inventory moved
